Baked Beef Ribs


“Hey, do you want me to make ribs?”, I ask.

“Is that a trick question?”, is always my husband’s response.

Of course he wants me to make ribs.  Of course he does.

And these are good.  Really good.  AND easy.  Who knew?  Don’t spend a ton of money buying ribs at a restaurant.  Unless the restaurant has smoke coming out of the top of it, that is.   If you see a restaurant that does their own smoking, then go for it.  But until then, just make these at home.  You’ll save yourself a bunch of money.  All you need besides the ingredients is an oven, a simple disposable pan and foil.

You will need:

1 rack beef ribs (spare or back)

1/4 cup butter, melted

2 cups “Sweet Baby Ray’s” bbq sauce

2 tablespoons (or more) sriracha sauce.

Spice Rub:

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Lay the ribs down on a bed of foil on a baking pan.  Cover with the spice rub mixture.
Combine the bbq sauce and melted butter.  Add a couple dashes of Sriracha sauce.

Cover seasoned ribs with sauce mixture.

Cover ribs with more foil.  Pinch edges together to make a little packet.

Bake at 350 degrees F, for 3-4 hours.
After ribs have baked, cover with additional sauce as desired.

Tender and flavorful.

Who doesn’t love a big plate of ribs?
