Always a hit at my house. I bag and freeze whole recipes of the pulled pork (uncooked) so I can just take it out of the freezer, pour the contents in the crockpot and let it cook all day. It's one of my family's favorite freezer-to-crockpot meals. The sandwiches come together in a snap after the pork has cooked all day.
1recipebbq pulled pork, cooked all day in the crockpot and shredded
8-10mini ciabatta rolls - or other small bread rolls
1stick buttermelted
6cloves garlic,crushed
salt and pepper to taste
2-3cups shredded mozzarella cheese, or 8-10 slices provolone
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Slice each bread roll in half.
Put all the 'tops' on a baking sheet. Brush with garlic butter. Toast in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Repeat this process for the 'bottoms'.
Using tongs, place a good bit of pulled pork on each 'bottom'. Top with cheese.
Bake at 400° for 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is as melted/browned as you'd like.
Top with the 'tops". You can brush butter on the tops and bake again to give it a nice glisten, but my kids are usually so hungry by this point I just serve as is.
