Turkey Krasnov
Take one small man who cannot keep money in his bank account and send him to Russia to meet with the KGB in 1987. The next thing you know....well, you're living it.
Ingredients
- 1 10-12 lb Turkey, defrosted
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2-3 tsp salt
- 2 tsp turmeric
- 1 Tbs paprika
- 2 tsp chili powder
Instructions
- In order to turn the turkey into Krasnov, first, cut the spine out.
- Then, spatchcock the turkey - some may even call for a blood eagle.
- Slather the compound butter over the turkey (be sure to pat it dry first). This will give it a nice tropical glow.
- Roast at 400°F for 60-90 minutes, basting occasionally. Krasnov is cooked when the internal temperature reaches 180° F. Hopefully it will happen sooner than later.
